Position is located in MINOT, NORTH DAKOTA. Please be aware there is a housing shortage in this area. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: Supervises all student activities in the residential areas during tour of duty. Assists with student adjustment to Center life and with making behavioral changes that will enhance the student's future. Fosters a dorm atmosphere conducive to positive, social and emotional skill development. Maintain a clean, orderly, safe and comfortable dorm atmosphere and appearance and supervises student housekeeping chores. Maintains accurate information to ensure student accountably at all times. Conducts weekly dorm meetings for planning required activities, permits an exchange of student views on dorm needs and problems, and encourages leadership development. Provides individual and group guidance on an informal and/or structured basis in close coordination with appropriate counseling staff. Maintains accurate records of the personal and social development of each student and participates in periodic reviews of individual student's progress. Facilitates Social Skills training sessions and completes the STAR. Acts as role model and intervenes in student behavior when necessary. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: Residential Advisor I A High School Diploma or GED equivalent and 1 year of experience working in a residential setting required. Associate Degree is preferred. . KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, & ABILITIES: Effective verbal and written communication skills. Effective organization skills. Effective interpersonal skills. A Valid Drivers License is required. Shifts Available: Sunday to Thursday 11:30 pm to 8:30 am and Tuesday to Saturday 3:00 pm to 12:00 am and Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday 11:30 pm to 8:30 am, Friday and Saturday 10:30 pm to 7:30 am
