QB-Recreation Specialist

 This position is in MINOT, NORTH DAKOTA. Please be aware there is a housing shortage here.

General Function:

Supervises student recreational activities.  Organizes and participates in intramural sports. Will travel off center for some activities.

This positions requires flexible hours and working weekends, working late afternoons til late at night on weekends.

Minimum Qualifications:

Bachelor Degree with a concentration in Recreation, Physical Education, or Health Education is preferred and experience in a recreational program which provides services to disadvantaged youth or related areas is also preferred.

                                     OR

An Associate Degree with a concentration in Recreation, Physical Education or Health Education and four years of related experience is required ;  experience in a recreational program which provides services to disadvantaged  youth or related areas is preferred.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

•·         Effective verbal and written communication skills.

•·         Effective organizational skills.

•·         Effective interpersonal skills.

Licenses or Certificates:

A valid State Commercial Drivers License is required or ability to obtain a CDL within 3 months of start date..

Duties:

• Organizes, schedules, and conducts recreational activities fo students, both on and off center.
• Supervises student utilization of recreational facilities to ensure student safety, facility and equipment maintenance, ensure adequate supplies are available for all planned and scheduled activities.
• Participates in planning, implementing and controlling varsity and intramural sports programs as assigned.

Qualifications:

CDL license is required. One must be obtained within 3 months of hire.

Must have a clear drivng record ie. no tickets over 19 miles over the speed limit.
